Fascinators
During this 2 day course, you will learn innovative pattern cutting techniques
to sculpt delicate sinamay and feather headpieces.
You will also have the opportunity to create exotic feather, sinamay and
crin trimmed 'hair corsages'.

Tiaras
During this 2 day course you will use various gauges of wire and a multitude of beads and stones to enable you to explore the practical skills and materials knowledge you will need to create modern and traditional style tiaras and 'wire work' hair decorations.
The first day concentrates on stamens, building texture with clusters of beads and naturalistic designs to create flower sprays, vines, larger flower motifs and starbursts of twisted wire. These decorations will be applied to simple tiara bands and hair combs.
On the second day you will be working with thicker structural wires to create more complex tiara frames with arches, spirals, curls and spikes. These frames are delicately decorated with a few choice stones, coated in gossamer-fine wire or heavily encrusted with beads. These wire techniques can be adapted to make hat pins.
The visiting Tutor for this course is Julie Ashford who, with the help of a fabulous team, has run the Spellbound Bead Company for over twenty five years. Julie teaches all aspects of beading and bead design but her real passion is still 'working with wire'. Many of her former tiara students now run their own, very successful, bridal businesses.
